Welcome to Moment Vault. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Moment Vault website and service at momentvault.io and app.momentvault.io (the "Service"), operated by Jonathan Meneses ("we," "us"). By creating an account or uploading content, you agree to these Terms.
Moment Vault lets you create private video memory vaults, invite others to contribute video messages, and organize, process, and share those memories. The Service is currently in open beta: it is offered free of charge, features may change, and we may introduce paid plans in the future. We will give existing users reasonable notice before any feature they rely on becomes paid.
You need a valid email address to create an account. Sign-in is via magic links sent to your email, so keeping access to that email account secure is your responsibility. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
You own your content. Videos, messages, and other material uploaded to a vault belong to you and your contributors. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process (for example, transcoding, generating thumbnails, transcription, and highlight reels), and display that content — solely to operate and improve the Service for you. This license ends when the content is deleted.
If you invite others to contribute to a vault, you are responsible for having their permission to collect and share their videos, including permission from a parent or guardian for any contributor or subject under 13 (or the age required in your jurisdiction).
The Service generates shareable links (contribution links, kiosk links, and reveal links). Anyone with such a link can use it, so treat these links with the same care as the content behind them. You are responsible for who you share links with.
You agree not to use the Service to upload or share content that is unlawful, infringes others' rights, is sexually exploitative, harasses or threatens others, or contains malware; and not to attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your vaults, videos, and personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Deletion is irreversible — please download your videos first.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. As a beta service, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that content will never be lost — please keep your own copies of irreplaceable videos (the Service always lets you download your originals).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify account holders by email or an in-app notice before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
